UPDATE

To all our supporters, visitors, traders and residents,

This last year has been a tough one for Crail Food Festival, and yet in recent months we have flourished with a newly bolstered committee full of talented and enthusiastic volunteers who have been working on delivering a successful 2020 festival.

But as we all now know, the Covid-19 pandemic grows more serious by the day and this spring summer event season is going to be unlike anything we’ve experienced before.

Taking into consideration the government advice, and our event preparation timeline the committee has given a lot of thought and discussion about what is the best course of action and come to the conclusion to cancel the 2020 Crail Food Festival.

Some of our committee are small business owners themselves, and as such we understand the impact this decision has, the challenges that business are facing and therefore we’ve agreed to do what we can to support local businesses during this period. Here’s the things we’ll be doing:

  • We’ll be refunding any traders who have already paid pitch fees.
  • We’ll be continuing our social media coverage and promotion by focusing on stories of local food and drink businesses
  • We’ll be developing a small scale, Crail focused pop-up event which could be put together at short notice once restrictions are lifted.
  • We’ll be delivering the Crail Food Trail which is a funded initiative to promote Food & Drink Businesses in Crail.
  • Rescheduling the Festival Dinner to an Autumn date which we will announce later in the spring.

And of course, we’ll be planning for our 2021 edition. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy, look out for each other and keep in touch.
